Grow spiritually in our adult groups
Cell Groups
Part of the history of the Old Testament people is that they gathered to meet God at what they called the tabernacle. The tabernacle wasn’t stationary like a temple; it was movable. One way we can “tabernacle” is by gathering in small groups. We have groups with various interests that meet at different times throughout the week. Our hopes for what these groups might be:
· A place to be involved in intimate community, sharing fears, doubts and questions.
· A place for friendship, safety and belonging where we connect with others.
· A place for healing where we serve and are served.
· And a place to grow as a learner of Jesus.
The College and Career Group meets on Wednesday evenings.
We discuss books, catch up, pray, share our stories and make plans. You can find us in coffee shops, going to movies and playing games. We have an annual camping trip in May when it snows and we try to get away for a weekend retreat once a year.
Tuesday Morning Bible Study gives adults of all ages a chance to meet with the
pastors to discuss the upcoming Sunday’s worship theme.
Wednesday Morning Women’s Fellowship meets
from 9 to 11 am. Women of all ages get together at the church to study the Bible and to fellowship. After a short devotion, the women break up into three smaller groups. In 2008, for example, one group discussed Max Lucado's Cure for the Common Life; another, Beth Moore's Jesus, the One and Only; and a third, T. W. Hunt's & Catherine Walker's, The Disciple's Prayer Life.
